Shawnna Childress

Shawnna Childress
Ms. Childress has more than 15 years of experience in the legal services industry. She started her legal services career in her family’s court reporting agency where she learned first hand the intricacies of depositions and the court room. Ms. Childress then moved into the legal technology realm where she spent 10 years at LexisNexis in roles such as Legal Research Specialist, Legal Editor and Large Law Firm Account Manager along with a few years at Westlaw as their Manager of Premiere Accounts. During a hiatus from LexisNexis, Ms. Childress worked as a Legislative Assistant in Washington DC to Congressman Joel Hefley where she spent time assisting the Congressman with legislative issues.

During the initial boom of eDiscovery in the early 2000’s, Ms. Childress was offered a position with Fios, Inc, a national eDiscovery and computer forensics provider which she accepted. Ms. Childress was the Co-Founder of Computer Experts Associates which was a Computer Forensics and Electronic Discovery company which was sold to a national provider. She then went on to become a legal consultant with Stratify, Inc. and then the Director of National Accounts for Encore Legal Solutions, where she oversaw business development for leading electronic discovery software and services companies that provided advanced concept folders and searching.

Ms. Childress is currently an Associate Director with Navigant Consulting and travels throughout the United States consulting with corporations and law firms on their eDiscovery and Litigation Readiness plans.

Lana Schell

The JD that Lana holds propelled her to first gain legal experience working in the Office of General Counsel for the Pennsylvania State Police. Her problem solving skills became quickly noticed and was the perfect segue into her role as litigation support analyst and manager at two law firms in Philadelphia, where she was responsible for managing all litigation support activity for several offices. On the vendor side, Lana came first to Merrill Legal Solutions where her legal training helped her to quickly shine as an acknowledged best with proficiency in the e-discovery industry. In her capacity as Consultant, she succeeded when providing understanding, empathy and appreciation of each specific client need, which in turn helped to determine the most beneficial solution from the start to project design, set up, implementation and execution. Her proven expertise in implementing document management strategies for clients has involved working in complex
  litigation involving the integration of paper and electronic discovery into web based repository databases. Lana has directly managed and consulted on several complex, high profile, large scale litigation support efforts including HSRs and 2nd requests, as well as working on litigations for insurance companies, manufacturing and pharmaceutical corporations as well as construction companies. These same skill sets have been utilized in her roles at other companies such as LECG, Syngence and Intelligent Discovery Solutions at an even larger forum for General Counsel at fortune 500 companies and the top law firms around the country. Lana received a Bachelor of Art degree in English from York College and her Juris Doctorate from Widener University School of Law.
